Storm signs a new historical novel from bestseller Imogen Martin

We’re delighted to announce that Editorial Director Vicky Blunden has acquired World All Language rights in ebook, paperback and audio in a sequel to Imogen Martin’s bestselling success To the Wild Horizon.

Imogen Martin’s sweeping, romantic historical debut Under a Gilded Sky, set in nineteenth century USA, was launched in September 2023 and was a huge hit with readers. Her second book, To the Wild Horizon, stormed the charts on publication in February 2024. This third novel is a sequel, following Grace and Randolph’s love story as they join the California Gold Rush.

Vicky Blunden says,

“We’re overjoyed and not at all surprised that readers are loving Imogen Martin’s totally addictive, fast-paced and wildly romantic historical novels. She is a hugely talented writer and her fans say again and again that they’ve been swept away by her stunning evocation of the period, sense of place, bold heroines and brooding, irresistible heroes. We’re thrilled she’s so firmly established in the genre with such a wide and devoted audience already, and can’t wait to publish more of her impossible-to-put-down, deeply moving storytelling.”

Imogen Martin comments,

“I’ve been delighted with how readers have loved To the Wild Horizon, so I am thrilled to be working with my editor Vicky Blunden again for a sequel. The story ended in 1846 with Captain Randolph and Grace returning to life in the US army. When the next book opens, Randolph has been discharged from the army and the couple, at a loss to know what path to take, join the California Gold Rush, hoping for a new life – only to find danger and destruction.”

Second novel published February 7, 2024
